Privacy Policy for Mebo Habits
Mebo helps users track habits, goals, reading progress, focus exercises, reminders, and optional group habit activity. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how users can request deletion.
Information We Collect
- Account information, such as email address, display name, Firebase user ID, and optional profile photo.
- User-created content, such as habits, goals, books, reading progress, daily completion history, focus game scores, group habit progress, and group habit messages.
- App settings, such as language, theme, notification preferences, and local motivation or suggestion state.
- Lightweight lifecycle and event summary data, such as app opens, habit creation/completion, goal creation, book additions, focus score updates, Premium screen opens, and notification opens.
- Feedback submitted by the user during testing or support, including feedback type, message, account email, language, screen, and timestamp.
- Notification scheduling data when the user enables reminders.
We do not collect location, contacts, microphone recordings, SMS, call logs, calendar data, health data, or payment card details in the app.
How We Use Information
- Create and manage user accounts.
- Sync habits, goals, books, progress, and focus scores across sessions.
- Show reminders and local notifications selected by the user.
- Personalize daily messages, smart suggestions, and weekly progress summaries.
- Support group habit features, including member progress and chat messages.
- Understand app usage patterns with lightweight event counters so we can improve onboarding, retention, and Premium messaging.
- Review user-submitted feedback during closed testing and support follow-up.
- Improve app reliability and user experience.
Third-Party Services
Mebo Habits uses Firebase and Google services for authentication and database functionality, Expo/platform services for app delivery and notifications, and RevenueCat with Google Play for subscription entitlement and purchase-status management. The app does not collect payment-card details. Platform notification services may deliver notifications if the user enables them. We do not sell personal data.
Profile Photos
Users may choose a profile photo from their device. The app uses the selected image only for profile display.
Group Habits And Messages
If users join group habits, their display name, progress, and messages may be visible to other members of the same group habit.
Data Retention And Deletion
Users can delete their account from inside the app through Profile > Account and Security > Delete Account. Account deletion removes the user's account data from Firebase and clears local app state on the device.

If a user administers a group habit, deleting the account will delete that group habit because it cannot be managed after the admin account is removed. Some limited data may be retained only when required for security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or backup recovery.
Security
We use Firebase and Google services that transmit data over encrypted connections. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect user data.
Children
Mebo is not directed to children under 13. If we learn that a child provided personal data without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete it.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this privacy policy as the app changes. The updated version will be posted at this same public URL.
